Introducing the products of the Company:

A.    Liquefied petroleum Gas (LPG):

It’s a mixture of light hydrocarbons mainly C3 and C4, that are kept in liquid form under pressure. The percentage of propane and butane in LPG is changes proportionally to the weather change in summer and winter. Due to the ease of LPG transportation, it is used in many places where it is not possible to use other resources of fuel, e.g. ;
1.    houses gas stoves and heating systems
2.    factories fuel
3.    industrial and commercial kitchens
4.    ignition system of gas turbines in combined cycle power plants
5.    second fuel for vehicles

B.    Naphtha:

It refers to a class of liquid hydrocarbon fuels with high volatility and flammability which is between light gases such as LPG and kerosene cut in gas condensate refinery's distillation tower.
Naphtha has variety of applications. chemical and petrochemical industries are the major customers of Naphtha; Feed to produce different petrochemical products such as ethylene, solvents & thinners, raw materials for several kinds of plastics, synthetic fibers, and industrial alcohols. For example, major part of dyeing thinners comprises Naphtha and most of ethylene plastics compounds are made by using Naphtha. Moreover, by catalytic processes, Naphtha is changed to high octane gasoline and other kinds of oil fuels. Naphtha is a strong solvents with various applications. Therefore it can be used to produce detergents and refining other hydrocarbon materials. Moreover, it is used as polishes and varnishes as heating and cooking fuel (similar to LPG and kerosene).

C.    Gas Oil:

This fuel is obtained from middle-distillation products of refinery of which distillation range lies at 150-385 Degrees Celsius. This product is refined chemically and physically in such a manner that comprising hydrocarbon compounds have proper function in torches and internal combustion engines. The natural color of this product is amber. It is applied as fuel in internal combustion diesel engines and as fuel for types of household and industrial torches.

D.    Jet Fuel:

This fuel in terms of distillation range, is very similar to kerosene. The fuel is produced by appropriate additives, refining and treatments. Because of high flash point (more than 40 Degrees Celsius), it is acceptable to use it in turbine engines of airplanes.
This fuel is also called “Jet A-1”. Lead-Free Paraffin (Or Jet A) is similar to Gasoil and it’s possible to use it not only in Jet Motors but also in Diesel Motors.
Jet B (or mixture of naphtha & kerosene) is more flammable than Jet A, and it’s able to be replaced by Jet A, only in cold weather.
Kerosene specification of JEPCo refinery goes according to Jet A-1 NIOC standard.
